A vibrant and fresh blend with the racy lime juice and gooseberry snow pea influences quite dominant. Palate has plenty of intense flavour supported with a fine but persistent acid. Lovely current drinking style. Like the relatively low alcohol.

A delightfully zingy blended White. Bouquet is slightly perfumed with grassy herbaceous touches. The fine delicate palate is an enticing mix of snow pea, nettle and limey passionfruit. It's all held together with a fine lingering acid to sustain the finish. Nice current drinking wine.

Pleasant easy drinking medium bodied Shiraz from Coonawarra. Soft generous dark plum and mulberry flavours with a light dusting of cedary oak. Fine tannins and a balanced palate. Well integrated combination of fruit and oak.

Another beautifully fragrant Rose made from Grenache. Has those delightful rose petal characters with some lifted raspberry notes. The light bodied palate has a zingy feel with the sweet middle palate finishing dry and long. Consistently one of the best Roses in Australia.Score:

South by Southwest Cabernet Merlot 2007 ($21.50)
This is just such a friendly enjoyable wine. You'll want to keep on keeping on until the last drop is drained....in moderation of course. Exotic spicy perfumed scents on the nose of red berry and minty violet overtones. The palate is supple and deliciously fruity with a little cedary oak for complexity. Fine silky tannins complete a very good wine.

A mighty classy Cabernet for less than $15. It's medium bodied with firmish tannins and a light touch of oak to support some nice fruit. Soft and supple with an approachable drink me now mouth feel. Nice current drinking wine.

Tim Adams Clare Valley Semillon 2008 ($23)
Consistently one of the best Semillons. This is a lovely wine with some distinctive lemon and grassy edges combining with the lifted oak influence. Adams ferments this is new French oak and leaves it there for about five months. It's not over done and strikes a good balance to allow the natural fruit to emerge. Will handle some medium term cellaring.

Truffle Hill Reserve Shiraz 2007 ($35)
This Pemberton based producer has started to strike a rich vein of quality in the past couple of years as the maturing vines deliver some quality fruit. This is an opulent yet elegantly structure Shiraz with a seamless integrated palate loaded with lush dark fruits. Excellent drinking over the next couple of years.

A wonderfully subtle and delicate Pinot from the Yarra with perfumed scents of spice, sour cherry and light cedar. Seamlessly woven palate of fine tannins and deftly applied oak. Deceptively long in the mouth with focussed precise flavours. Complex and interesting to the finish.
