Alkoomi Riesling 2009 ($20.35)
This is something of a return to form for Alkoomi Riesling. It’s bright and tight with a bracing acidity and citrus influence that maintains a tight edge to the finish. I like this leaner style of Riesling thought there is still good fruit intensity on the palate.

Yering Station M.V.R. Yarra Valley Marsanne Viognier Roussanne 2
A really interesting style blending the three Rhone varieties of marsanne, viognier and Roussanne with 100 per cent barrel fermentation, a small percentage of which was new. A complex and rich palate is a feature with tremendous texture controlled with fine grained oak and acid. very long finish.
